Countdown

From this week, we are counting the moments to mid-Sha'baan; what a sweet and pleasant feeling.

Imagine if we were counting down the days to Appearance; just for the sake of the argument, let us assume that, it has been announced that Appearance will happen in a few weeks; what should we do now?!

If we have a very dear loved one who lives far away, and we miss him/her so much, and we wish from the bottom of our hearts to see him/her; and then he/she tells us that he/she is coming back in a few days. Surely that is the most delightful feeling,; knowing that some one we love so much, is finally coming back; certainly we clean the house, even the corners of the closets, so that if the one we love so much, opens a closet, he/she will find it immaculate; we also fill the house with the flowers he/she loves, so that when the one we love comes, the fragrance of our sincere love may encompass him/her; we prepare all the things he/she loves, so that he/she may be proud and happy; and may be… .

We know for sure that Mahdi (PBUH) -the one we love more than any thing else in this world- will come; when? We do not know, but Allah has said that He may arrange and re-dress his Amr in only one night!

So it is possible that he may Appear very very soon, then what should we do today?!

If we truly love him, and if we sincerely are trying to comprehend his celestial position as the last chosen Successor of the final Prophet of the one and only Creator, whom our lives depend upon, then wee should try to do things he likes, and avoid what he dislikes, because what he likes and dislikes are what Allah likes and dislikes. If we truly love Allah and him, then we should try to arrange our lives based on what Allah expects which is surely the best and most beautiful. If we have any obligatory prayings and fastings which we have neglected, if we have any financial duties -religious or not-, if we have broken some one's heart, if we have not performed Hajj and we are able, If we have any broken vows, if we have any doubts in the dark corners of our hearts, and if…, we can easily amend all that in the few days that we have until Appearance, through sincere repentance and true compensation.

And this is how we clean, the corners of our hopes and dreams; and this is how we fill our hearts, with the heavenly flowers that he loves… .

Imam Mahdi (PBUH) has said:

Then each one of you should act in a way that will take you closer to our love, and refrain from all those acts that will lead to our detest and wrath.” (Behaar-Ol-Anwaar, vol. 53;… )
