Qonoot of Anticipators

At the onset of the month of Dhyl-Qa'dah -the month which belongs to Imam Reza (PBUH)- we wish to introduce a supplication from that Imam in which our beloved eighth Imam has taught us to pray for his descendant, Imam Mahdi (PBUT), and to request Allah to include us among his helpers; Imam Reza (PBUH) has recommended that this prayer to be recited in the Qonoot of our Friday noon prayers:

In the Name of the Compassionate, the Merciful Allah

O' Allah! correct and redress (the Amr of) Your Servant and Your Caliph, by that which You have corrected(the Amr of) Your Prophets and Messengers with;

and envelop him with Your Angels;

and assist him with the Holy Spirit from Your Presence;

and appoint guards from his front and his back, they who protect him from all harm;

and from after his fear and concern, transfigure it to security;

he has worshipped and obeyed You, he has not associated aught with You;

and set not any authority for any of Your creations, over Your "wali";

and give him Permission, in Jihad against Your enemies, and his enemies;

and include me among his helpers;

surely You are Omnipotent over all things.

The Appearance of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) is the glorious and hopeful, Ever-Promised event which all Chosen-ones have been Anticipating, and they have always reminded humankind that such event is definitely on the way, so that human may focus his thoughts and goals based on what is real and not based on empty dreams and fantasies; may Allah include us among Imam Mahdi's (PBUH) true helpers, before and after his wonderful Appearance… .
