Thorough Purification

The virtues of the twelve Imams (PBUT) in general and Imam Mahdi (PBUH) in particular, are so many that none can ever encompass them. For, their Divinely bestowed status and position is much higher than human thought and comprehension.

Only Allah the Almighty and His Emissaries are aware of the extent of their virtues. Qur'an and Islamic Ahaadith and Traditions have touched quite a few of these characteristics. We shall mention a few of them hereafter.

Like other Divine Ambassadors, Imam Mahdi (PBUH) too, is Infallible and Pure. He is free from all defects, sins, impurities and … . The famous Qur'anic Verse of 'Tatheer' was revealed in honour of the AhlulBayt (PBUT):

Qur'an, Surah Ahzaab [33]:33 … This is absolutely it that Allah surely has Willed that the uncleanness to be kept away from you, the AHL-OL-BAYT, and (that) you are purified, a (thorough) purification.

It is not only the Shi'ah documents which unitedly confirm that the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) -who according to Surah Nahl:44 must clarify Qur'an for the people- has clarified that the AHL-OL-BAYT mentioned in this Verse are only Ali and Faatemah and their infallible sons (PBUT), rather many Sunni documents such as Saheeh of Moslem, the Ketaab of Fazaa'el-O-Ssahaabah, the Baab of Fazaa'el-O-Ahle-Bayte-Nnabi, vol. 15, p. 194, and the Baab of Fazaa'el-O-Ali-Ebne-AbiTaaleb, printed in Egypt,; Sonan of Thermedhi; Mosnad of Ahmad Hanbal; Mostadrak of Haakem Neyshaaboori and … have confirmed this undeniable fact!

O' the Almighty Allah! Based on Your command, we are trying patiently and steadfastly to be obedient followers of the PURE AHL-OL-BAYT (PBUT), whose obedience is tantamount to Your obedience, during the hard times of Disappearance, while seeking the glorious Appearance of the last member of the Ever-beloved AHL-OL-BAYT with all our hearts and souls moment by moment … .
