Divinely Bestowed Status

Barring the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP), the AhlulBayt including Imam Mahdi (PBUT) have been holding higher Divinely Bestowed Status than, and are superior to, all Prophets (PBUT) and angels. When Hadrat Mahdi (PBUH) shall reappear, Hadrat Jebra'eel -Gabriel- (PBUH) will kiss the Imam's hand.

Hadrat 'Eesa (PBUH) will descend from the heavens to assist him in his mission. According to famous narrations among both the Shi'ah and Sunni, Imam Mahdi (May Allah hasten his Emergence) will lead the congregational prayers and Hadrat 'Eesa (PBUH) will follow his lead and perform prayers behind him. Hadrat 'Eesa -Jesus- will be one of the faithful and devoted helpers of Imam Mahdi (PBUT) -whose submission to the last Allah-Chosen Successor of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) will cause the submission of those who have been deviating from the True Religion of Allah, i.e. Islam, and have been calling themselves Jews and Christians- and one of the commanders of his army.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) has said:

" 'Eesa (Jesus) will descend to the Moqaddas land, upon a passage way called 'Afiq'; then he ('Eesa) shall enter the Bayt-Ol-Maqdas (Jerusalem) while people will be in (preparation of ) the Morning Salaat (Prayer); and the Imam (Mahdi) will step back, but 'Eesa shall give him (Mahdi) the lead, and ('Eesa) will perform the Salaat behind him (Mahdi) BASED ON THE SHARI'AT OF MOHAMMAD, and ('Eesa) will say: YOU ARE THE AHLUL BAYT THAT NO ONE SHOULD TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER."
