Close, not far!
The Anticipation for the Sovereignty of the Government of Allah at the hand of the final Successor of the Last and most exalted Prophet and Messenger of Allah (PBUT), has actually been the hopeful way of life and the expectation for the Ever-Propagated final social stage of life on this earth, by not only all previous Prophets of Allah and their Chosen Successors (PBUT), but also by all Successors of the Last Prophet, Mohammad (PBUH&HP), the Infallible Imams (PBUT).
It has been narrated that Imam Reda (PBUH) was in a gathering in Khoraasaan and the title "Qaa'em" was mentioned, the Imam (PBUH) upon hearing the word, stood on his feet, faced the Qeblah, placed his hands on his head, and said:
"O Allah! Hasten his Faraj (Relief upon Appearance), and facilitate his Emergence."
(Montakhab-Ol-Athar, p. 506; …)
What about us? Has Imam Mahdi's (PBUH) Anticipation encompassed each and every moment of all aspects of our Lives? Has it effected and directed our decisions? Has it defined the true meaning of the word 'hope' for us? Has it provided a direction for our lives? Has it changed our ways of thinking? Has it become the reason for our falling tears and broken hearts? Has it become the reason for cheers in our hearts? Has it …?
If not, perhaps it is deemed to be far away, but it may be so close! Allah only knows!
… Surely they see it far, while we see it close … .
