Here we are now and so is ...

Hadrat Mahdi (May Allah hasten his Appearance) is the representative of Allah’s Mercy and Benevolence. He is kinder than the kindest father to his children and more benevolent than the most benevolent mother to her children; as Imam Reda (PBUH) in a very long and profound Hadith has tried to express the Allah-Bestowed special status of the Infallible Imams (PBUT):

“… The Imam is an intimate friend and confidant, a kind father, a loving and sincere brother, and (like) a benevolent mother to her small child … .”

(Al-Kaafi, vol. 1, p. 200; …)

By Allah's Permission, everyone is the subject of the prayers and mercy of Imam Mahdi (PBUH). But the Shi'ah and especially those who cling to him (PBUH) and pray to him and for him constantly, are conferred with special bounties by him. In one signed letter to Shaikh Mofeed (May Allah's Mercy be upon him), he (PBUH) wrote:

“… Surely we are neither negligent in your consideration and protection, nor are we forgetful of your remembrance … .”

(Behaar-Ol-Anwaar, vol. 53, p. 175, H.7; …)

Yes, our beloved Mahdi (PBUH) has never forgotten us, he is benevolently watching and caring for us moment by moment, but it is some of us who, with disobeying Allah; by not rearranging our priorities according to Allah's expectations; with not realizing and feeling the warm and loving Presence of Allah's representative in each and every moment of our lives; with not manifesting the true Shi'ah moral traits that the world may become attracted to the True Islam and fond of our lord; by not seeking him as the means toward Allah's Love and Satisfaction; by not clinging to him in our moments of joy and sadness, and presenting our needs and requests to him, as commanded by Allah; by not seeking and praying for his Emergence from the bottom of our hearts; and …, have forgotten and forsaken him!!!

Truly how many times have we wished that we had lived at time of the Prophet Muhammad and Ali and Fatimah and (PBUT), so that we could have clung to them and never let go? Here we are now, and so is Mahdi (PBUH) …
