The Karim (Bounteous, …) Qur'an, in different verses such as verses 71 and 72 of Surah Saad (38), in regard to the earthly creation of Hadrat Adam (PBUH), has stated:

When your Lord said to the angels: Surely, I am going to Create a human from clay;

So, when I have made him complete, and breathed into him of "My Rooh" [My Spirit], fall in prostration for him.

One of the elite students of Imam Saadeq (PBUH), Mohammad son of Moslem, asked the Imam (PBUH) in regard to the breathing of the Rooh (Spirit) into Adam (PBUH); The Imam (PBUH) said:

Rooh is in motion, just like the wind; so it has been called Rooh
[Spirit], because it has been derived from Reeh [the Arabic word for
wind] and it is in motion and movement just as the wind is. And that
Allah has attributed it to Himself, it is because, it is Chosen by
Allah; in the same manner that Allah says "Bayti" [My Bayt (House)],
which means that Ka'bah is Chosen above all places; or when Allah says
“Khalili” [My Khalil (friend)] to a Rasool of His Rasools; or similar
to these. But of course, all of them have been made and created by
Allah and have come into being; and Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, is
their Modabber [Administrator, Chief, Manager, Designer, …].

(Book of Kaafi, 1st vol., p. 133; …)

Here Imam Saadeq (PBUH) is clarifying that Allah has Chosen some of His own Creations above others, and when talking about them, Allah -Glorified and Exalted is He- ascribes them to Himself. When for instance Allah in Qur'an says "My Bayt" He absolutely does not mean that Ka'bah is where He lives or that it is a part of His Existence or …; or when in many verses in Qur'an Allah says "My Rasool" or "Our Rasool", Allah is indicating the most exalted position of Hadrat Muhammad (PBUH&HP), being above other Messengers and Prophets (PBUT), and of course above all other creations and therefore ascribing Hadrat Muhammad (PBUH&HP) to Himself, but He absolutely does not mean that Hadrat Mohammad (PBUH&HP) is a part of Him; SOBHANALLAH, Allah is not limited in one place, He is the creator of place; and He has no parts or …!

Some people by just looking at the above mentioned verses, without considering the words of Mohammad and his Pure AhlulBayt (PBUT), have interpreted these verses and said that Allah has breathed a part of his own spirit, His own Existence, in to humankind and therefore human is of Allah in this manner!

If this was so, then we would all be PARTLY GOD, AND THEREFORE LIKE GOD! SOBHANALLAH; The difference between this interpretation and that of Imam Saadeq's (PBUH) is the difference between polytheism and monotheism!!! There is absolutely no similarity between the Creator and His creations, creations do not share any thing with Allah, let alone His Existence and Essence! SOBHAANALLAH; let us look at verse 11 of Surah Shora (42) of Qur'an:

There is nothing whatever like unto Him [Allah], and He is the Hearer and the Seer [of all things].

Let us be very careful. Christians, by using pagan Greek and Roman philosophies, Gnosticism and …, as the basis for their theology -instead of relying upon the teachings of Jesus and his Allah-Appointed Successors (PBUT), as Commanded by Allah- have come up with the human-made concept of Jesus' existence coming out of God's Existence, just like stream coming out of fountain, or light out of sun, or …, and therefore Jesus (PBUH) is being considered as God's son, a part of God and like Him, and thus nothing but Him! SOBHAANALLAH

Let us, as Muslims, absolutely not oblige ourselves to the human-defined boundaries and rules of pagan philosophies, Gnosticism and …, and let us not base our theology and interpretation of Qur'an and the Religion upon them, rather, let us absolutely not separate Qur'an and the AhlulBayt (PBUT), as our beloved Prophet (PBUH&HP) has commanded us so clearly! Has he not said in his unforgettable "Hadith of Thaqalain" and … that the sure way of going astray is by considering Qur'an and the AhlulBayt (PBUT) as two separate phenomena? Can we not see the significance of this command through observing enormous differences of interpretations such as the vital one presented in this writing? As the Prophet has warned us, the difference is between going astray or not!

It is not enough to just admire the AhlulBayt (PBUT), and every once in a while see what they have to say, and then accept or reject or try to misinterpret their statements based on human-made systems of thought, desires, limited understanding and …! No! The Prophet (PBUH&HP) has commanded us to follow them at all times, after him; remember, the Catholic Christians admire and talk very highly of Peter, the Successor of Prophet Jesus (PBUT), but practically they too, have been following the doctrines of Paul and the Pagan myths, philosophies and Gnosticism which eventually led to the polytheistic concept of Trinity!

O' our beloved Mahdi (PBUH)! We realize the extreme significance of Successorship, i.e. the importance of receiving Knowledge only from you and your fathers (PBUT), after the beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP), We cling to you as a falling person clings to the last salvation rope, and we ask you not to let us go, and help us in our clinging too. Do not leave us to our limited understanding and by Allah's Permission, enlighten our hearts and minds to understand what we need. And until Allah commands your Emergence, we are, eagerly and patiently, counting the lonely seconds … .
