David's Book of Psalms

In the present-day book of Psalms from the Old Testament we read:

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

(Old Testament, David's Book of Psalms, Song 37, statements 8-9)

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever.

(Song 37, Statements 17-18)

He wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

(Song 37, Statements 21-22)

In the aforementioned statements of the Book of Psalms, glad tidings in regard to a certain time in the future is given. In those wonderful days, the pious, virtuous and righteous servants of God are going to inherit the earth. Now, let us look at a verse in the Glorious Qur'an:

And certainly We wrote in the Zabur (original Prophet David's Book of Psalms), after the Reminder, My righteous servants shall inherit the earth.

(Qur'an, Surah Anbiya, verse 105)

It is so wonderful that while there are many distortions in the so-called Old Testament, that the True Path to Salvation -for those who sincerely seek it- is clear. Allah, the All-knowing, with His indescribable Knowledge which encompasses the past, the present and the future, Surely knew about all the human distortions therefore, it seems that in Qur'an, Allah directs the attentions of Believers to statements of the previous Divine Books in which the least distortions have occurred.

In the aforesaid Quranic verse, Allah refers to David's book of Psalms which mentions the righteous servants and their inheritance of earth. In Shi'ah narrations the righteous servants of Allah who inherit the earth are clearly introduced as Hadrat Mahdi, the Ahl-Ol-Bayt (PBUT) and their companions ( Osool Kafi, Tafsir Borhaan, Majma'-Ol-Bayaan, ...); indications of this fact have also been mentioned in the Sunni documents (Yanaabi-Ol-Mawaddah, Al-Sawaaeq-Ol-Moharaqeh,Ba'th-wa-Noshoor, ...)

O our beloved Mahdi! We seek your Appearance with all our hearts and souls; it is so heart-warming to look forward to a time when all the servants of Allah- from every color, race and nationality- shall be united and live happily ever after ...
