Adam and Jesus (PBUT)

Surely, the parable of Jesus is with God as the parable of Adam, He created him from clay then said to him: Be!; then, he was.

(Qur'an, Surah Aal-E-Emraan, verse 59)

When a group of Christians -who, based on their available scriptures and writings, were expecting the appearance of the final holy Prophet- went to visit the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH&HP) and talked about Jesus (PBUH) being the son of God, the aforementioned Qur'anic verse was sent by Allah, upon the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP). Any thing God wants to create, it shall be. It is true that every thing in the world, by God's command, is usually arranged orderly but nothing limits God's Omnipotence; Allah created Adam from clay and created Jesus from a virgin and ... .

The issue of god the father and god the son was originated by apostles, such as Paul, after Jesus and not by the Prophet Jesus (PBUH) himself. This issue itself has roots in ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman cultures who used to worship many imaginary gods. The dominant cultures at the time of Jesus and years after, were the Greek and Roman cultures, Systematic theology of Jews and Christians were overshadowed by these cultures so much so that gospels -which were written decades after Jesus and not at his time- were written in Greek. In ancient Greek culture and myths, there was a god called Dionysus, whose father was also a god and his mother a virgin. Dionysus was killed by the people and his death was atonement accepted by god the father for people's sins, later he was resurrected. Dionysus's tragic passion was re-enacted by eating his flesh and drinking his blood. When Paul started to invite Romans and Greeks to Christianity, he introduced Jesus exactly the same way. This story was very pleasant and familiar to the Romans and Greeks and eventually they accepted that distorted Christianity.

Qur'an corrects these distorted beliefs regarding the Prophet Jesus (PBUH) and re-invites the followers of previous Prophets (PBUT), back to the Right Path. Qur'an gives the good news that the religion of Allah –Monotheism- shall be expanded throughout the earth. With the Appearance of the last Successor of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) -Imam Mahdi (PBUH)-, the Prophet Jesus (PBUH) -who is alive and Anticipating- shall also descend, by Allah’s command, to earth and join Imam Mahdi(PBUH).that glorious moment shall be when prejudice will be a thing of the past and Jews -who rejected Jesus before- will accept him and together with Christians and Muslims shall worship the one and only God and live in a world filled with justice and peace under God's perfect and benevolent laws. Let us with bright minds and loving hearts, read between the lines of today's propaganda and avoid becoming playthings of the powerful, and sincerely strive and pray for that wonderful day… .
