Noah Ark 2

On the face of People’s disobedience, the Prophet Noah (PBUH) implored Allah for help and Allah allowed the waters of the earth and the sky to create the Great Flood (Qur’an, Surah Qamar, verses 9 to 12).

By Allah’s command, Noah (PBUH) had already -in the midst of people’s mocking for he was building a ship in the dry land- built the Ark (Qur’an, Surah Hoode, verses 37 & 38).

Following Allah’s command, the Believers and the couples of All creatures were placed on the ship (Qur’an, Surah Hoode, verse 40).

The Prophet Noah’s son was amongst the ones who refused to get on the Ark. Noah (PBUH) -being the kind father he was- called his son to join them but the son responded that he would soon go on top of a mountain where he would be safe from deluge (Qur’an, Surah Hoode, verse 43).

Noah’s son gave a very logical response; he said that he would go on high grounds to be safe from the Flood and Deluge. Usually when there is a flood, a smart solution is to go on high grounds but the key point in this event is that Allah had promised that only those riding the Noah Ark would be safe and the rest would drawn; perhaps people’s faith was being tested; those who believed in Allah and Noah’s prophethood got on the ship and those who were too arrogant to obey, were destroyed, including the Prophet’s son (Qur’an, Surah Forqan, verse 37,… ).

A very important point to keep in mind is that even though the son’s proposed solution was a logical one, the Omnipotent Allah had decided that only one solution would lead to salvation; in another words, Allah’s obedience was the only way to salvation.

Today, still the only way to Salvation , is Allah’s obedience. Although many people are introducing different proposed ways to achieve Salvation and many of these self-invented ways may seem to be logical, satisfying and attractive, but the only way to achieve true Salvation, is the way Allah has specified. In the article” Noah Ark - I” we narrated a Hadith -from both shiah and sunni documents- from the Prophet (PBUH&HP) in which the Ahl-Ol-Bait’s obedience was compared to riding the Noah Ark and introduced as the only way to Salvation. There are many such Hadithes which indicate the Divinely bestowed status of the Ahl-Ol-Bait being the only means to achieve everlasting Salvation.

Humankind has nothing to gain and every thing to lose by forgetting and forsaking Mahdy(PBUH). Today, Loving, obeying and Anticipating Mahdy (PBUH) is the way to achieve everlasting Salvation.

Blessed is he who washes his soul in the heavenly fountain of Mahdy’s memory every day;

Blessed is he who circumambulates the ka’bah of his presence every day.

Blessed are hearts which beat in the cages of chests, in Anticipation of his Appearance, everyday;

Blessed are hearts which cry blood-tears, in his separation, everyday.
