Who is Ali, the Amir-Ol-Mo'menin (PBUH)

Sayyed Ebn Taawoos -a highly trusted and respected Shi'ah scholar of the 7th century A.H.- in his book "Sa'd-O-Sso'ood" has written that he himself had read in the "book of Edris" -the book of the Prophet Edris (Enoch) who was one of the first Prophets after the Prophet Adam (PBUT), and his book was a part of the “Old Testament” of the “Bible”, before the ongoing latest human distortions- in regard to Mohammad and his progeny (PBUT);...

The Sayyed has narrated from the “book of Edris” that one day the Prophet Adam (PBUH) was shown his descendants who were as "lights", and Adam noticed that, one "light" was much brighter than others, so he asked Allah about it, and Allah responded that he was Mohammad -the final and most superior Prophet, from Adam’s descendants- who was the most Exalted creation, and the entire Creation was created for him… .

In addition, in other sources -such as "Beshaaraat of ahdein- reports of the observation of five brightest "lights" by Adam (PBUH), in the "book of Edris", and Allah's introduction of the five "lights" to Adam, as "Faaraaqlit (Faraklit) [Phaaraaklitus]" -Hebrew[& Greek] equivalents of Ahmad-, “Elia (Elijah)” -Hebrew for Ali-, “Titah” -Fatimah-, “Shobar and Shobair” -Hassan and Hossain-, have been given; it is noteworthy to mention that different spellings exist for the Aforesaid Hebrew names and their Greek equivalents.

When Hassan was born to Ali and Fatima (PBUT), Ali said to Fatima that he would never take precedence over the Prophet in naming the child; when the Prophet came, he also said that he would never take precedence over Allah; Allah informed the Angel Gabriel that a son was born to Mohammad, and Gabriel descended with a kind message from Allah. Allah had said that the position of Ali to Mohammad, was that of Aaron to Moses (PBUT), so Ali’s first son was to have the name of Aaron’s first son, Shobar; but the Prophet (PBUH&HP) said that his language was Arabic; so Hassan which is the Arabic equivalent of Shobar was chosen by Allah (Behaar-Ol-Anwaar,… ).

In the books such as "Behaar-Ol-Anwaar of Allaamah Majlesi" and "Fad(z)aa'el-O-Shshi'ah of Sheikh Sadooq", it has been narrated that, one day a man asked the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) in regard to the meaning of the following verse, where Allah -when Eblis refused to prostrate before Adam- said to Eblis:

Are you seeking Arrogance, or are you from the “Exalted ones”?!

(Qur’an, Surah Saad, verse 75)

The man was wondering, who the "Exalted ones" were? Those who were more Exalted than the Angels, and the Prophets too; the Prophet (PBUH&HP) responded:

Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hossain and I; we were in the “Saraadeq of Arsh of Allah”; we Glorified (Tasbih) Allah, and Angels Glorified Allah based upon our Glorification, one thousand years (not worldly years) before Allah created Adam; and when Allah -Mighty and Glorified be He- created Adam, He commanded the Angels to prostrate before Adam, and they were not commanded to prostrate, unless for our (Ahl-Ol-Bait’s) greatness. So all the Angels prostrated; except Eblis, he surely refused to prostrate. Then Allah said: What kept you from prostrating before what I have created with My Hands?!, (before the Exalted ones) meaning these five, whose names are written in the “Saraadeq of Arsh”. And we (the Ahl-Ol-Bait) are the Gateways of Allah... .

Such Hadithes reveal that the Command for prostration of Angels in front of Adam, was actually for the Ahl-Ol-Bait’s Divinely bestowed greatness, who were going to be the descendants of Adam on earth; and Eblis -the lord and head of devils- knowing the most Exalted position of the Ahl-Ol-Bait -the Exalted ones-, refused Allah's command!

In another Hadith, from Imam Reza (PBUH), we read:

The parable of those who accepted the “walaayat” of the Amir-Ol-Mo’menin on the Day of Ghadir, is the parable of Angels who prostrated before Adam; and the parable of those who refused the “walaayat” of the Amir-Ol-Moemenin, is the parable of Eblis… .

(Eqbaal-Ol-A’maal,… )

The people at the time of the Prophet, knew clearly the most Exalted position of Ali son of Abi-Taaleb (PBUT); the Prophet himself had clarified it over and over. So those people at Ghadir, and before and after, knowing the most Exalted position of Ali -the only Amirul Mo'menin- disobeyed Allah's command; in the same manner that Eblis, knowingly disobeyed Allah's command.

There are at least two significant points which should be considered; the first point is that they have been aware of the Divinely bestowed Exalted position and superiority of Ali (PBUH), and the second point is that, they disobeyed Allah; and both of these two points hold true for both cases, Eblis and the Oath-breakers of Ghadir.

O' Amir-Ol-Mo'menin!

The entire Existence is astounded about you;

but, no one can comprehend the real you!

Any thing that we may say in regard to the Ahl-Ol-Bait's reality, is not even the moisture of one drop next to their celestial ocean; of course, we must also emphasize the point that their greatness, is Divinely bestowed, and it is due to their absolute humbleness and obedience before Allah, the one and only Creator.

O' our beloved Mahdi! You are the last of the most Exalted Ahl-Ol-Bait (PBUT); and the entire Existence is Anticipating your magnificent Appearance… .
