Arba'een

Imam Mahdi (PBUH) has said:

Surely, I certainly do pray for the Believer (Mo’men) who remembers the Mosibat (bereavement, suffering,… ) which happened to my martyred ancestor (Jadd, Hossain), then he prays for me, for the hastening of my Faraj (Appearance) and the confirmation.

(Mekyyaal-Ol-Makaarem, 2nd vol. )

Even though some of those responsible for the martyrdom of Imam Hossain (PBUH), were killed after the Aashoora, but the martyrdom of the infallible Imam Hossain -done so unjustly and savagely- has been considered by Allah as rising directly against Allah Himself, therefore the seeking of vengeance is yet to come. When Imam Hossain was martyred, Angels while crying, told Allah that Hossain was His chosen-one and the son of His Prophet’s daughter; Allah -in response to the Angels’ concern- showed them the Shadow of Qaa’em (Mahdi -PBUH-) and said that he would Rise and take vengeance for what they had done (narrated from Imam Saadeq -PBUH-, in the book Lohoof). At time of Mahdi’s Appearance, by Allah’s command, some people shall return to life (Raj’at); those humanoids responsible for Imam Hossain’s (PBUH) martyrdom, shall be amongst them and they will be punished severely in this world and they will also enter the everlasting Fire, Hereafter.

In this Arba’een -40 days after another anniversary of Aashoora- we remember Aashoora with broken hearts, tearful eyes and hopeful minds; we implore Allah -from the bottom of our broken hearts- to hasten Mahdi’s Appearance and we pray that we may be present at that magnificent and glorious time… .
