… AND
MOHAMMADS (PBUT) …
To all those loving and
sincere hearts who are as soft and vast as the blue sky, and nurture
the beautiful and rainbowy dreams of post-Appearance in them, we wish
the most blessed moments on this 17th of Rabi', the
glorious birth anniversaries of the most beloved Hadrat Muhammad
(PBUH&HP) and his son and sixth Successor, the beloved Ja'far son
of Mohammad Baaqer, Imam Saadeq (PBUT).
… And this old earth
was going through the darkest and longest night it had ever
experienced, and humankind, his bleakest season of loneliness. The
burning chests of the deserts of forgetfulness were longing for a
reviving drop of water. The garden of the world, from the violent
winds of human sins, had been reduced to a dreadful ruin. Human life
was overwhelmed by the foul smell of carnal desires; in its veins,
death was flowing; its face, was covered by the dust of grief and
pain. The smoke of the cries of the oppressed was darkening the
skies. In the garden of songs, love was forsaken and forgotten. There
were no more blossoms to sing for … .
In the second Sermon
recorded in the Nahj-Ol-Balaaghah, Hadrat Ali (PBUH) has described
the conditions before the proclamation of Prophethood of the
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) as follows:
"At that time
people had fallen in to vices whereby the rope of religion had been
broken, the pillars of belief had been shaken, sacrilege of
principles had occurred, systems had become topsy-turvy, openings
were narrow, passages were dark, guidance was unknown and darkness
prevailed. God was being disobeyed. Satan was given support and
Belief had been forsaken. As a result, the pillars of religion fell
down, its traces could not be discerned, its passages had been
destroyed and its streets had fallen into decay. People obeyed Satan
and tread his paths. They sought water from his watering places.
Through them Satan's emblems and his standard was raised in vices
which trampled the people under their hoofs, and treaded upon them
with their feet. The vices stood on their toes (in full stature) and
the people immersed in them were strayed, perplexed, ignorant and
seduced as though in a good house with bad neighbors. Instead of
sleep they had wakefulness and for antimony they had tears in the
eyes. They were in a land where the learned were in bridles (keeping
their mouths shut) while the ignorant were honored."
Suddenly the heavenly
breeze of love opened the Ever-Promised window of celestial hope
towards the magnificent horizon of everlasting blissfulness. Light
started to flow in the veins of life. The ocean of Divine Mercy
presented its most beloved and precious gem to the shore of human
life. The brightness of this gem brightened all broken hearts and
distressful minds … .
And this is what Hadrat
Ali (PBUH) has said in the same Sermon regarding the coming of the
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP):
"Allah
sent him with the illustrious religion, effective emblem, written
Book, effulgent light, sparkling gleam and decisive injunction in
order to dispel doubts, present clear proofs, administer warning
through signs and to warn of punishments."
…
AND MOHAMMAD
(PBUH&HP) CAME
In the same Sermon, the
Amir-Ol-Mo'menin (PBUH) mentioned the AhlulBayt (PBUT):
"They
are the trustees of His (Allah's) secrets, shelter for His affairs,
source of knowledge about Him, centre of His wisdom, valleys for His
books and mountains of His religion. With them Allah straightened the
bend of religion's back and removed the trembling of its limbs …
None in the Islamic community can be taken at par with the Progeny of
the Prophet (Aal of Muhammad). One who was under their obligation can
not be matched with them. They are the foundation of religion and
pillar of Belief. The forward runner has to turn back to them while
the follower has to overtake them. They possess the chief
characteristics for vicegerency. In their favour exists the will and
succession (of the Prophet). This is the time when right has returned
to its owner and diverted to its centre of return."
O' the All-Loving Allah!
Again … in the garden of songs, love is forsaken and forgotten.
There are no more blossoms to sing for …; O' the Compassionate and
Merciful Allah! We implore You in the name of Your most beloved,
Hadrat Mohammad (PBUH&HP), to hasten the Emergence of his Mahdi
(PBUH), so that it may be announced universally:
AND MOHAMMAD, THE
LAST INFALLIBLE SON OF MOHAMMAD, (PBUT) HAS COME …
